At Brilliant Ideas we invent and manufacture safety products for the construction industry.
Our products are used by main contractors, house builders, structural frame contractors (steel, concrete and timber), crane hire companies, lifting specialists and health and safety professionals – among others.
Each innovation has been developed by Brilliant Ideas CEO Chris Massey. Chris is also Managing Director of our sister company Beresford’s – a pre-cast concrete flooring installation specialist.

Why we invented Brilliant Ideas
Making sites safer
Our safety products were originally invented for our own site operators to use – to increase efficiency and to get projects done on budget – but most have been created in response to accidents or near misses. They’re all now available on the open market.
HS2, Tideway, Kier, BAM, Balfour Beatty, Costain, Interserve, Willmott Dixon, Severfield, B & K Structures, FP McCann and Bison Precast are just some of the industry names using them.
Tried and tested
Each invention is tried and tested – and comes with certifiable paperwork. In fact, all our safety products are manufactured in the UK, apart from our outrigger system (ALIMATS®). But even these are plated and painted here. This means a lot to some of our clients – especially those who place significant value on cutting their carbon footprint.
Chris really cares about people and develops inventions to keep them safe. In fact, there are more planned products in the pipeline. We’re really proud of what we’ve achieved. We’re proud too, that our products have received recognition across the industry, having won multiple awards.

We’re a team of eighteen; and we all get on like a house on fire. It makes a big difference to us, and it makes a big difference to our clients.
