ALIMATS® has officially expanded into France

Well… sort of.

In reality, it started with Dan Westgate, our Managing Director, heading out on a ski trip to the French Alps with friends and work colleagues, complete with beanies, branded T-shirts, and plenty of après-ski. But when you’ve got a growing international brand, sometimes promotion happens in slightly unconventional ways.

And honestly? We’re absolutely fine with that.

Business Meets the Mountains

What followed was a week of snow, skiing, laughs, mountain views, and plenty of photos, all featuring a group of slightly windswept skiers proudly repping ALIMATS® at altitude.

But behind the jokes and the ski goggles, there’s a serious story unfolding.

ALIMATS® is growing fast internationally, with increasing demand across Europe and beyond – and we do mean beyond. Our mats are already in Australia and the Middle East. So while this trip was very much about fun, it also captured something real – a brand that’s travelling, expanding, and being recognised well beyond the UK.

And if that recognition happens halfway up a mountain in France, we’re more than happy with that.

Proof That Engineers Can Have Fun Too

Construction, lifting, and temporary works might be serious business, but that doesn’t mean we have to be serious all the time.

This trip was a reminder that behind the engineering, the calculations, and the site work, there are real people, strong relationships, and plenty of laughs along the way.

Plus, it turns out ALIMATS® looks pretty good on a ski slope.
